Varietal Trial - 1990.
Author :

Twelve sugarcane
varieties were evaluated for their yield and quality. The experiment was laidout in an RBD
design with three replications. In analysis of experimental data (Table 2A & B) it was
found that variety Co 8011 gave the highest yield and was on par with Co 7914, Co 85021
and Co 85019 another standard Co 8014 gave significantly lower yield compared to Co 8011.
The lowest yield was recorded by Co 7805.

Table 2Bb.
Table of Effects.
Variety Co 8014
recorded significantly higher mean pol % juice followed by Co 7805, Co 85246 and Co 85061.
However only Co 8014 had a positive trend, as it increased its pol % juice till harvest at
13 months crop age in March.
