Title : Early Varietal Trial - 1990.
Author : T.D.Krishnamurthy, Harlapur and V.B.Kembhvi.
Year :1990-91
Twelve promising varieties including local standard CoC 671 were tried for yield and quality attributes. The experiment was laid out in a randomised block design with three replications. On data analysis the following conclusion were arrived at (Table 1).

1. Variety CoC 86062 recorded the higher yield (139.1 t/ha-1) and was statistically on par with Co 85012, Co 7201, CoC 671 and Co 8401.
2. Differences in behaviour of varieties for mean pol % juice were not statistically significant.
3. As should be expected, crop age showed high significant for pol % juice.
4. Variety X age interaction was significant.
