Title : Studies on the Companion Cropping Sugarcane with Wheat.

Year :1981

The companion cropping trial which was initiated in December 1980 was completed this year. The what crop was harvested in March and the cane crop after 12 months yield data of both the crops were recorded and presented in Table 6:1. The gross income due to sugarcane and wheat is although more, the profitability is observed to be higher in T1 (Table 6:2). This suggests that, sugarcane and wheat in any combination, is not beneficial as compared to sugarcane alone.
