Title : Maturity Studies on Kharif Planting Sugarcane

Year : 1979

Study was carried to find out quantitative changes occurring in sugarcane planted in June. In two early varieties Co 997 and Co 6415, the percentage of total solids, sugar fibre, non-sugars and dry matter were monitored for over a period of six months at 15 days interval. The results are presented in Tables - 8:1, 8:2, 8:3, 8:4. All these components are expressed on three basic units length, internode and unit land. It was observed that during April and May the changes in composition have not shown much variation.
