Title : Evaluation of Nitrogen Response in TS-1 and TS-8 Mutants

TS-1 and TS-8 mutants obtained from parent Co 419 through gramma irradiation appear to be true breeding mutants. They showed higher weight per cane and higher sucrose % juice as compared to control. To study its response to the different doses of nitrogen application an experiment was laid out with 3 doses of nitrogen on 150 Kg N/ha. 250 Kg N/ha. and 350 Kg N/ha. The crop was harvested on 30th January 1980 and observations recorded are given in Tables - 5:1, 5:2, 5:3.
