In second stage clonal trial 10 varieties were planted along with 2 checks Co 62175 and Co 6415 on 4th February 1979 and harvested on 10th February 1980. The varieties under trial were Co 7306, Co 7508, Co 7530, Co 7603, Co 7604, Co 7610, Co 7703, Co 7704, Co 62175 and Q. 49. The observations of this trial are given in Table 2. Of these varieties Co 7704, Co 62174, Q. 49 and Co 7508 showed early maturity characteristics.
