An experiment was
planted in a cultivators field in village Hallur to assess the efficiency of the following
insecticides in the control of root Grubs. Holotrachia serrata which damage cane crops.
This experiment
was assigned to Karnataka Institute of Applied Agricultural Research under the All India
Coordinated Project on Sugarcane. The crops in the plot selected, was known to have been
damaged by grubs, every year for the past three years. The plan of the experiment and the
observations recorded so far are given in Table XIV.
