Social Activities for handicapped students
- Help to physically handicapped students at Deaf & Dumb School, Kopargaon :
Lions Club Deaf & Dumb school is managed by a Trust. Shri P K R Nair is a Trustee
of school committee right from inception till date. This school is giving admission and
education to Deaf, Dumb and physically handicapped children. They are accepted right
from inception till date. This school is giving admission and education to Deaf, Dumb
and physically handicapped children. They are accepted right from their beginning of
school life and housed properly free of charge. Boarding facilities are also provided
free of charge. Equipments like hearing aids etc. Needed to these children to make them
get educated easily are also provided by trustees of the school. It has been our
endeavour to promote the cause of educating and employing Deaf, Dumb and physically
handicapped children to give them social status. Under this scheme we distribute
uniforms, shoes & winter clothes to the children studying at Deaf & Dumb
School. It has own property like building & playground managed through donations
given by donor of surrounding area.
- Distribution of sweets :
At every national festival company distributes sweets to the children in the
surrounding area i.e. Somaiya Vidya Mandir, Sakarwadi and Lakshmiwadi, Rameshwar
Vidyalaya, Wari, Deaf and Dumb School, Kopergaon and Shri Sharda English Medium School,
Kopargaon. Sweet are also distributed to primary school children at Hanumanwadi,
Sakarwadi and Kanhegaon.
