Promoting healthy competition amongst children
Company conduct carious sports and cultural events in order to promote healthy
competition among children. Some of the activities are listed below :
- We organize with the help of representative Union of the Company various
competitions for children of staff members at Sakarwadi and surrounding area,
which consists of drawings, debating, essay writing etc.
- Company also conducts twice a year sports competitions through Chetna Club,
Sakarwadi on 26th January & 15th August.
- Chetna club
Company has formed Chetna Club at Sakarwadi, know for its activities in the district
of Ahmednagar. State level tournaments for Cricket, Kabaddi and volleyball are being
conducted regularly. Teams consisting of children and dependants of our staff members
are deputed to various tournaments in the State and have won several honours / prizes.
- TB Detection camp on 26.05.99 - Sputum samples were collected from suspected
patients suffering from TB & were examined.
- Aids awareness camp - on 13.19.99 at Chetna Mnagal Karyalaya awareness was created
through speeches, pamphlets, posters and slide show.
- Maleria Control:a program including one cut play, magic show, talk songs and
dances based on information regarding spread, prevention and treatment of
malaria.
- Pulse polio vaccination : camps were organized in 1997, 1998,1999 at our
dispensary.
- Vaccination camp : free vaccines are given once in a month to all workers and
villagers at our dispensary.
