	Somaiya Organo Chemicals Ltd., Sakarwadi Educational Aid Assistance The company has introduced "Education Assistance Scheme" under which employees are encouraged to acquire. Higher Educational Qualification related to their work. Company provides interest free loan for fees and expenses. This scheme is reimbursed when the employee successfully acquires qualification. Educational Prizes : Company has sponsored prizes to children for outstanding performance at the S.S.C. Examination. This scheme is applicable to the school mentioned above the prizes are distributed as under : Rs. 500/- children are securing more than 80% marks. Rs. 251/- children are securing more than 70% marks. Rs. 101/- children are securing more than 60% marks. A special prize of Rs. 1001/- is given to children who have secured more than 90% marks and who appear in Merit List of the Board. Welfare Committee A Welfare committee consisting of Representatives of Management and Union has been formed. The main purpose is to grant momentary sanctions to staff and workers to compensate party expenses incurred for major medical illness for their dependants. The Management considers on case to case basis, the type of illness, period of indisposition, present financial status vis-a-vis expenses incurred and general behaviour of the workers and approves reimbursement once in a year normally not exceeding an amount equivalent to one month salary.
