Social Activities for Draught Relief & Public Health
- Draught Relief Scheme :
Rainfall in our area is erratic for the last few years. The surrounding area normally
faces draught conditions from the month of March to June. Our Factory is situated in
Wari village and we make arrangement of tankers to provide drinking water to residents
of Kanhegaon, Hanumanwadi, Bhozade Chowki etc. And help Tahsildar & District
Collector in drinking water supply schemes.
- Public Health :
SOC, is running a well-equipped dispensary at Factory site. It has a qualified staff
i.e. a Medical Officer, Nurse, Compounder & female attendant. Nearby villagers get
Medical Aid in the Dispensary. It has 4 indoor beds & a well- equipped ambulance,
which is made available to nearby villagers at a confessional rate. Six specialists
from Kopargaon visit dispensary. Nearby villages also avail their services at a
concessional rate.
We conducted several free medical camps for the benefit of the nearby villagers. To
mention a few, are as under :
- Free Eye camps held in 1982 and 1984 and on 10th Now 1995 upto
16th Nov. 1995. In each camp about 500 patients were examined and
treated. Number of cases operated were 4,01,836 respectively. They were given free
food and lodging facilities with free medicines and specs.
- Multidiagnostic Camp - held on 10/12/87& 22/06/97 with the help of Pravara
Medical Trust. Large number of patients were examined & treated. Cases
selected were operated free of cost at Pravara Hospital, Loni, Blood donation
camp & vaccination camp was also arranged with this camp.
- Cancer detection cum awareness Camp - organized with help of Cancer Aid Society,
Mumbai. A Film show was arranged for awareness. Symptomatic Patients were examined
and referred to Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai.
